Monday, December 4, 2006 @ 12/04/2006 04:52:00 PM I'm more or less done with my module selection thingy (for year 2 semester 1). At first I thought of just choosing the standard package (doing the four core modules recommended by module chair I think) which would mean I would have one free day every week. But I met Rafidah, a year 2 DBMS student who is also my secondary school friend, and she told me it would be better to do one more module in year 2 then year 3 you will have more time to do FYP (final year project). After much consdierations, I felt that what she said does make sense. Yes, that one free day is suppose to be left for Professional Profiling, but I can do on other days? So, I selected one more module - consumer psychology. If my application is successful, that would mean I have 5 school days per week while others have 4 for year 2 and 3 school days per week while others have 4 for year 3. I wanted to choose the electives but don't know why it's not offered to us now. Perhaps it's only offered to year 3. Then I was considering taking a year 3 module as that extra module but the test schedule clashes so I didn't choose that too. That leaves me the last choice - freely chosen modules. Yup we are allowed to choose 2 non-science modules. So I've decided to take up one now (and probably the other one in semester 2). Actually I've been hesistating whether to choose music appreciation or cosumer psychology...because I'm interested to learn both. But consumer psychology seemed more useful for me in the future although I'm not sure whether I would have the chance to apply it but I guess no harm learning now right? Music is more of interest so I guess I'll leave that out first. For the benefit of friends not from RP, maybe you can check out at this website http://www.rp.sg/courses/appliedscience/biomedsci/course_structure.asp# if you don't know what I'm talking about. The experts can explain better than me...lol. But the whole list of modules there are the modules that we have for the three years in RP. So here's the quick-list of modules that I've chosen for year 2 semester 1... (Core disciplie module) A103 Anatomy and Physiology A201 Applied Chemistry 1 A221 Microbiology A223 Biochemistry (Freely chosen Module) G253 Consumer Psychology Labels: more about me, weird thoughts |
