Thursday, December 7, 2006 @ 12/07/2006 08:22:00 PM After I posted the previous entry, I went to Causeway Point for job-hunting...I did mentioned that Valu$ has job vacancies right? So I entered the shop, and asked this lady "Erm hello mdm, since you all are recruiting people..." and she cut "how old are you?" I said "18" and she said "sorry we are looking for people above 20 years old". So I just smile, bow, thank her, and walk away. But do you know how mad I am at that time? Of course I didn't showed that I'm angry, it's just that the feeling of being rejected before I even finish asking my question is really @#$%^... Ok so I walked around other places. I passed by this shop called 'Spring maternity' at #03-36. They are also recruiting sales associates so I enquire. I told her although now I'm having one month holiday but I don't mind working part time even after school reopens because we only have one month of school and after that it's two months holiday until April. After finding out from me that I'm staying in Woodlands, she reminded me that they are actually recruiting people to work in town area and asked me if I mind. Then I thought, even if I can't I also have to say yes right? So I agreed, she took down my particulars, and told me their HR would give me a call if I'm selected. Oh my goodness, I hope I'm selected... Then I walked around again. There's this printing shop beside recruiting PERMANENT (must emphasize) part time sales assistants at another branch in Bishan. Working hours would be Monday, Wednesday and Friday 6pm to 10pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm. Again I said I can work continuously until the end of the next holiday in April (because school ends after 3.30pm so it should be fine for me). But she said they are recruiting workers who can work for LONG TERM. Sobs, rejected for the second time... Then I went down to Cold storage. There's a stall selling choclates recruiting staff to work 5 hours. And I don't have to elaborate, you can complete the sentence for me... As I walked around, I walked into CD rama and saw this CD... DECEMBER STARS! Yeah, this is a christmas songs compilation done by a group of mediacorp artistes as well as Superband Top 4 fnalists. I don't have enough money with me at that time but I really can't resist the temptation to buy it. Under such circumstances, what would the baddies do? Steal right? I didn't. So I'm a good girl =x. I paid by nets. Talking about nets I have to say something; that was the joined account by my mum and I. But it's all her money inside so I'm left with no choice but to use her money first (will pay her back!). I left Causeway Point and came to this shop in front of the newstand (Woodlands MRT station). They are also recruiting female sales assistants so again I enquire. And again I was rejected even before I finish talking - they are looking for people to work at City hall and they don't want students. How many times am I being rejected? Four right? Sad! But anyway, my mood was liven up after listening to "December Stars". But something wierd happens - why did it jump tracks? I mean, usually when we listen to CD it goes in order but now it's very random? You get what I mean?
