Friday, July 13, 2007 @ 7/13/2007 11:50:00 PM Today's Biochemistry lab session is fine. We are supposed to compare the enzymatic activity of our own amylase and Genetically Engineered amylase. FYI, amylase is the enzyme in our saliva that convert starch to maltose. What am I implying by saying this? Simple - someone in the team has to sacrifice a bit of his/her saliva to be used in the experiment. Of course I'm not the one. =P! At first we find it quite gross but we diluted it so it's alright. I was told we will have to conduct tests with faeces when we are at higher level...so which is more gross? LOL! In the end, the last paper in UT3 (Understanding Test3) still ended up in a screwed up manner... Never mind, it's over anyway =)... Black Friday isn't bad Friday after all =D!
